BioNanoMed 2013 in Krems – a real success!
The 4th International Congress BioNanoMed 2013 organized by Techkonnex – High-Tech Promotion and the Danube University Krems/Austria (13-15 March 2013) was a remarkable success.
About 160 participants from 32 different countries participated in the BioNanoMed 2013 congress. We thank some members of the scientific committee for their activities and all speakers for their excellent contributions! Great thanks goes to all poster presenters, exhibitors and supporters, media partner, chairmen/women, to the participants and to our team - all of them made this event a real success.
The main topics were orientated to Novel Nanomedical Solutions, the use of nano-based Technologies in Diagnostics and Therapy, the application of nanostructured Materials in Regenerative Medicine, Nano-Imaging-Technologies in Medicine as well as Aspects of NanoSafety.
A well moderated Special Session & Round Table Discussion dealing with Nanotechnology in Pharmacy – Chances For Clinical Applications was a real highlight of this scientifically seen excellent meeting.
A Special Symposium about Nanotechnology in Artificial Organ Support was organized by ESAO – European Society for Artificial Organs.
About 60 posters presented by young and active researchers contributed significantly to the high level of the meeting. This was appreciated by the Austrian Erwin Schrödinger Society of Nanosciences by sponsoring 3 poster prices additionally to 1 special poster price in the field of Nanotoxicology sponsored by the BioNanoNet Forschungs GmbH.
Finally also the Industrial Exhibition was a remarkable success including very well known companies related to Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine.
Because now it became clear that the BioNanoMed Congress is a very well recognized activity of the Nano/Bio/Medicine-Community the next BioNanoMed Congress was announced for March/April 2014 in the concluding remarks.
